I'm Maria — an artist at heart with a versatile background across the creative and production landscape. I work in theatre production, immersive spaces, festival production, and live experience — environments where creativity, structure, and collaboration intersect.
I'm currently completing a BTEC in Technical Theatre in Dublin while working as a house lighting tech at one of the country's renowned venues. My toolkit spans QLab, ETC, ProTools, TouchDesigner, MadMapper, and Hydra — with Resolume, GrandMA, and Avolites in development — and I'm building fluency in the tools that bridge technical operation and creative authorship. Before theatre, I worked across graphic design, visual merchandising, interior design, event coordination, and brand activation — a winding path that gave me an instinct for space, audience, and atmosphere that I carry into everything I make.
My inspiration comes from light and space — from artists like Olafur Eliasson and Es Devlin, and from immersive environments like teamLab, Frameless, Meow Wolf, and Punchdrunk. I'm drawn to the intersection of art and emerging technology — AI collaboration, new interfaces, and the creative possibilities opening up between disciplines.
I'm relocating to central Europe in the summer of 2026. Meeting the Abyss, my first original immersive work, is in development — alongside wider plans for colour-led immersive spaces and interdisciplinary projects still taking shape.
I speak three languages fluently and understand two more. I hold a BA (Hons) in Marketing and Digital Media, a BTEC in Technical Theatre (in progress), a TEFL certificate, and a Project Management certificate. I'm certified in manual handling, fire safety, and MEWP, and I hold a full Irish driving licence and Irish citizenship — not a qualification per se, but a badge I wear with pride.
Open to work in immersive spaces, technical theatre, production, events, festivals — or anywhere that requires a keen eye, a steady hand, and a bit of colour.
